thanks for the hint, but I tried all permutations :-). 

Is anyone still out there experiencing distorted Audio with the new version?
If not, I will try to update again, since I apparently did do something
wrong...

Btw. I had to modify Program-Mercury-EPCS16.bat, and change the filenames of
the
firmware files to start with a capital "M".
