Hi Folks!

http://www.flex-radio.com/forums/viewtopic.php?p=8942#8942

Thanks to Hank - K9LZJ for moderating the forum! Wonderful job.

Sorry for not posting last weeks audio but life has been a bit busy after
coming back from Fredrichshafen!

Varied subjects this time, however, since we have at least 4 active HPSDR
developers, attending every Friday, we get up to the minute updates and
challenges!

HPSDR is really 'movin' along!

This alpha test group of 5 now has completed the Janus (A/D D/A converter)
and the Ozymandias (FPGA - USB, Parallel Port controller) which form the
very high performance SDR-1000 controller and decoder system. Phil_H's
VK6APH and Bill - KD5TFD's work on qualifying the stellar performance of
the Janus board at 48, 96 and 192 khz have me drooling for these boards for
the SDR-1000! Phil_C N8VB has just completed assembling the first Ozy board
which adds new meaning to beauty and love! He has posted pictures on his
website of the fantastic detail of this board. As you will hear in the
audio, nailing that FPGA down on the board is a challenge. Chris - AE6VK
likens it to "Building a ship in a bottle for the mantle of the captains
cabin, on a ship in a bottle" (smile). Nice going guys!

Rough time frame being discussed for the availability of these boards baring
any unforseen circumstances is sept-oct.

Expression of interest for these boards when they become available from TAPR
can be found on Dale's - WA8SRA's website. Currently over 300 folks have
expressed an interest in these boards. I will send a directed message out to
each of you when the boards become available, so you will be able to order
from TAPR website.

BY THE WAY There are still FREE Flexer Dayton 2006 buttons available on the
Flexer-Button tab in the projects queue. I'll be mailing these buttons in
the next week or so. You need not have gone to Dayton to get one of these
free buttons. Just take a minute to express your interest in getting one.

Have a wonderful week wherever you are! Think Safety!

See you on Teamspeak!
