[hpsdr] GIBRALTAR question.

Rick

Any "Exhibit A's" on the design for us to consider and kibitz about yet?
Even dummies like me have gotten something jammed in or on in the past. The
synergy here is fantastic. As Lyle said in his presentation at Dayton. "The
project leader takes suggestions, makes modifications - or not -. Discusses
some more, makes modifications, discusses, then when he is satisfied he says
"No More", it's done!" We user/contributors are certainly the beneficiaries!

Thanks (Smile!)
Eric

Peter,

The external 1PPS and 10MHz suggest a design like the Reflock II, which is
not what I am planning for the initial version of the GIBRALTAR. I am
thinking about doing more than one version, however.

My current layout has footprints for the M12+(T)/M12M(T) and for the
Resolution-T only. I could also put the VP/UT+ footprint if people really
want it but I was not too excited about legacy 8-channel receivers.

Yes, there must be an antenna jack. Since every receiver uses a different
connector, I will probably use a standard SMA (or SMB) for the antenna.

Rick,

Since I am not sure if it ever got past the suggestion part
I'd like to see an external input on GIBRALTAR for 1PPS and 10 MHZ.
AND will there be room to mount alternate GPS receivers like the
Motorola ONCORE (left over from TAC)?
And finally does the presence of an onboard GPS imply the presence of an
antenna jack?

Thanks,
Peter Hughes
