<Does anyone have some target figures regarding performance that we should
aspire to obtain? I think an IP3 <of ,+40dBm ,with a dynamic range of at
least 100 dB and a noise floor in the vicinity of -130 to -140 dbm are in
the <ballpark for state-of-the-art HF front ends these days.

I think before you can come to any valid conclusion on the pre-amp matter
on Six and possibly 10 mtrs you really have to sort out the QSD and the
cascaded OIP3. Looking at your proposed target figures I doubt 2v parts like
the PI5V331 are in this catagory and nor are the older parts like 4066 and
4053. 5 volt parts like the FST3125 seem to be well documented in H mode
mixers, and exceeed the target figure in that configuration. The FST3523
seems to be a derivative laid out the same as the PI5V331 and might therfore
be a suitable candidate.
