I was just looking at the power sdr display and was reminded of a mistake I made  observing dynamic range. I found a signal needs to be 10 to 15 dB above the noise floor to decode voice. Need some bits for the software to work with. Even CW you need a few bits. I'm not sure what the right answer is for a given mode but I bet it is more than 1 LSB.  gfz.
