Messages crossed again. Chris appears to have both in the litter. He needs
to do the qualifications! Short hunk of wire near the sucker and a 3-30 mhz
xciever should do.

Before we go off and buy a bunch of these pups should we do some level of
qualification to see how suitable they are for radio work. Touch of
concern on how much noise these may generate - would hate to see us go get
a bunch of these and get surprised when we find out it has hash all over
the place etc.
Not exactly sure what level of qualification we should try and do - perhaps
fire this thing up with some load on it and sweep a radio around and see
what it sounds like -- or sweep a spectrum analyzer around and see what it
show.
