Hi Lyle and the group,
we tick very similar. This was exactly my intention when I designed the logo.
We should always keep in mind:
1. keep a logo as simple as possible
2. no complicated outlines and drawings
3. should be recognizable in color and b/w
4. should be printable on silkscreen for pcbs
etc. etc.

will collect all comments and possibly come up with a revision. But let's see what Beppe 
is doing.
