[hpsdr] Atlas, How do I hand solder this thing?

Don't know on the temperature setting.  The WLC 100 I have is only variable 
temp, not temperature controlled.  It's a 40 watt iron,  I set the dial to 
about 45% full scale and it seems to work out ok.
