Hi Achim,
I know the Crystek folks. If we can get a large order, we can bring the price down. It was my encouragement that got them to offer the OCXO as a catalog order item. Normally, OCXOs are build to order. I've got quotes from several companies and the prices include NRE. So this is a bargin, so to speak.
Buying HP 10811's surplus on eBay, I've spent easily $175.00 for one! Having a source is important.
I am always open for ideas.
