And if the goals include a  low cost, low power, portable receiver, the 
Analog Devices chip plus a small DSP - dsPIC3, ADSP-218x, TMS320VC33, 
Blackfin - could make a very interesting combination with specs good 
enough for most users.  I'm still digging in the data sheet...
