It's not a leap if the argument is as follows:

(1) It's harder to achieve low noise and high bandwidth using USB
or PCI.
(2) Ozy/Janus uses USB.
(3) The radio processor should therefore use a DSP chip, since it
allows a method not designed into HPSDR using Ozy/Janus.

(2) only leads to (3) if (2) was a mistake.
