[hpsdr] O/J Power SDR CPU usage

I have noted that when using Power SDR/ SDR-1000/ Ozy-Janus that my CPU 
runs at bout 30-40 %..
With Power SDR/SDR-1000/D44-parallel port ( or USB/parallel cable ) that 
my CPU runs about 5-10 %..
Same Power SDR version (1.6.3 svn 701) , sample rate 48k, buffers(1024)..

Is the increased CPU load due to overhead in the USB handling of the 
audio streams ??
