The JRC NRD-525 receiver used two anti-paralleled diodes as a mean of input protection, but the common advice on its 
Yahoo discussion group was to remove them as soon as possible, as they can generate IMD products in presence of strong 
BC stations. I suppose the same holds for two LEDs in anti-parallel.

P.S. When replying to this group, the To: field is set to the sender of the message being replied to, instead of the 
group address. Is this done intentionally ? Wouldn't it be more useful to change it the other way ? Usually what one 
wants to do is to reply to the group, not to the original poster.
