Hi Shel, Phil,

Unfortunately the http://www.schubert-gehaeuse.de website doesn't show lower
"of the shelf" heights than min. 20 mm?

I think the spacing of the cards on Atlas is already 20.20 mm., according to
Horst's fine drawings / measurements at

http://www.needles.de/HPSDR/HPSDR-Case1.pdf

Although his drawings do not show the max. (component-) height on the
component side of the board, I think it should be max. 15 mm. or so?
(20.20 mm minus 1.5 mm. (board thickness) minus abt. 4 mm (?) solder side
height / "clearing", leaves abt. 14.7 mm. for component side height)

Another question would be if there would be shielding required on the solder
side of the board?

Maybe these dimensions should be part of some HPSDR defining document like
in Ben's suggested sizes for Pandora?

Henry.

> 5. We need some help Googling for screening cans that we can fit round the
front end of Mercury. Exact size is not know until we lay out the PCB but I
expect it will be in the order of 2" x 1" x 1/2". I've put some photos of
what we are looking for here

Phil
Just looked in the stock box for these cans used by the Microwave gang in
Europe. Pictured item is 4x2x1" approx. Link is
http://www.schubert-gehaeuse.de/
Box is tin plate so solders nicely. Others sizes are available.
