When I ported IPS (Karl Meinzer's embedded controller language) with Karl
from the Cosmac 1802 and a 16 bit architecture to the ARM 32 bit
architecture on AMSAT's IHU-3 (another Lyle and Chuck hardware development):
This guy proved INVALUABLE:

I got my development tools from here:
http://rod.info/ARM7Micro
This is for CROSS compiling code for the ARM. I ran these tools including
insight through the JTAG on OTHER projects (not the IHU-3) subsequent to
that development. I hope people who unfamiliar with the ARM processor come
to admire it and it large peripheral set and tremendous support for external
hardware control and ease of vectored interrupt handling.
His general embedded development biblio is here:
http://rod.info/EmbeddedDevelopment
and full of goodies.
