With no microphone plugged in, the PSDR 'Mic Gain' slider set to 0, and 
the "Mic Boost" checkbox not-checked (Setup > Audio > Primary), the Mic 
meter indicates about -25 dB, and the Panadapter indicates -70dBm. If 
the noise gate is set high enough, the Panadapter signal level drops 
completely out of view, and the transmitted background noise drops 
considerably (as monitored on another receiver).

Should the no-signal level be that high, or have I missed a setting or 
jumper somewhere?
