TI development tools free.
Linux runs beautifully on the Beagle board and the disk is an SD card.

For the Linux motherboard, it is Linux ($0, presumably :-)
For the OMAPL137, I understand TI has a Linux-based toolchain that is
available at no cost.
For Windows, TI has their full-up development suite on sale for $995
until the end of December. It presumably will return to normal pricing
of $3,595.
TI also has an eval board available with both Windows and Linux
toolchains for $495. The Windows toolchain is limited to use with the
eval board, which also has a USB-based emulator/debugger built in.
The OMAPL137/TMS320C574x is very new and the tools are evolving.
