There are no real problems generating low-noise clocks in the VHF region... 
The limits are mainly set by the quality of crystals available at realistic 
prices. For the uWSDR programme, I'm currently looking at how to do it 
economically at 1GHz, with an eye on >2GHz for future DDSes...
