It definitely gets faster.  If it is 16 bits then it now admits (160 - 
old_high_bar_sample_rate)/2  more bandwidth noise into the A/D than 
previous versions (assuming a brick wall Nyquist rate low pass filter in 
front of it) and it certainly will cost more..

I know you don't need to be told but others might that higher sample 
rates are good if you need them and not if you don't.
