[hpsdr] Penelope shipping status?

Hi Greg,

Here is an update on Penelope build for you (and everyone else, too!)

The bare PC boards have arrived and look good.

All of the parts will be in hand next week except for the pesky VCXO, which 
had a long lead time (10 weeks!!). That single part is what is holding up 
the works right now.  (That is also why your card has not been charged - we 
will wait until the last possible moment to do that, right before we have 
to pay the parts vendors.) We are working the VCXO issue, and expect to 
have parts in by the second week in April.

The assembled, untested boards will start arriving from the CM by the third 
week in April, continuing through the first week in May. There will be 
about a week lag for completed boards, since we have to test them.

We are going to try very hard to get the boards all tested before the 
production team leaves for Dayton on May 13, but there is no guarantee that 
we will make it!

Even if we get all of the boards tested by May 13, there is no way they are 
all going to get shipped out before Dayton unless a miracle occurs and we 
get the VCXOs early (not likely). (The shipping team is going to Dayton, too!)

So the bottom line is that some will get their board(s) before Dayton, some 
after.  Please don't ask to pick up your board at Dayton. The logistics of 
doing that would be horrendous, and you would have to pay OH sales tax, 
too.  I know it is frustrating to see boards for sale at the Hamvention 
when you have not received yours yet, but be assured that yours will be on 
the way just as soon as we can get it shipped.

I'll post updates here as we get closer to production.
