[hpsdr] Mercury input

Hi All,
Sounds like Mercury could use a 1:1 BB transformer on the input. I would wind one with 50 ohm coax. Primary the shield and secondary the center conductor. I have wound transformers that work 160 m to 6 m with type 61 core material. Below 160 meters would require a second transformer with higher perm material. I would think a good ESD or lightning transient could also trash the input.   frank WA1GFZ
