Hi Warren,

The command line SVN tool in Linux is called
subversion.  There are multiple graphical front ends for subversion.  I
prefer esvn.

Hi Warren,

Yes, you need an SVN tool on your PC.

Under Windows I use TortoiseSVN  <http://tortoisesvn.net/>, not sure 
what the Linux guys use.
