RF grounding is certainly to be taken in account, therefore a correct supply network must be arranged to have the ICs not wasted.
Cc decoupling, a good supply stabilizing and correct cc groundings have to be studied and realized if damages like the one explained in the precedent messages will be avoided.
A correct signal out-to-in amplitude has to be set starting regulation (by the use of trimmers, where applicable) applying low levels first.

This rules sound simple, thus aren't as such, and things have to be engineered in advance as to avoid creating risky conditions for the circuitry.

Don't forget that static discharge are on the way if no proper countermeasures are preventively taken.

I know this sounds obvious to many of us, therefore such kind of destructive malfunctions are suspicious, especially if a substitution of the damaged component follows and no further countermeasures are applied. This relies to the inevitable consequence of a repetitive blow of that expensive (or hard to de/solder) chips.
