Hi All,
I found the uninstall file in a folder so hopefully I can remove it if required. I want to try a couple things before i blow it away. Frank

Try this removal tool from McAfee:

I echo Frank's sentiments. Unless you can find that hidden uninstall file, removing Mcafee 'breaks' the TCP/IP stack. The standard removal procedure removes a piece of code which is inserted into the stack by the install procedure but doesn't join up the hole left by the removal. i've lost count of the number of people who have asked me for help when they've come up against this trying to remove Macafee (sp?).

Good luck!

Good luck removing Mcafee. I found similar problems a couple years ago and had
drastic results removing it. As I recall, I found a hidden file for uninstall, and that
did cure things here.

Hi All,
My net provider just gave out free use of Mcafee. I sometimes put the shack computer on line so loaded and set it loose. This really trashes HPSDR. Penny glitches to full power every few seconds. Cut outs in RX at all sample frequencies. Setting priority doesn't help.
I'm real close to deleting it. Norton never was a problem. CPU is running under 10%.
This could be the reason some users have more problem than others. frank
