 There's no way of protecting Mercury from excessive power from PowerSDR
or any PC software.  Mercury can probably take 100 mW or so, maybe a bit
more, but you need some real hardware to provide effective protection. 
The ADC overload point (at which it begins to clip) is near 1 mW (0dBm) --a
bit higher with preamp off, a bit lower with preamp on).  I'd recommend a
relay (WITH GOOD ISOLATION!) connected to disconnect Mercury from the
antenna PADDING-LEFT: 5px; MARGIN-LEFT: 5px; BORDER-LEFT: #5167c6 2px
solid; MARGIN-RIGHT: 0px">***** High Performance Software Defined Radio
