Why not current limit your power supply with a series resistor and apply power to the board and see what gets warm. Maybe you just fed too much solder into a connector pin. It maigh be an easy fix if you can locate it. I have also used a low voltage scale on a DVM to find the spot of least voltage drop. This is usually close to the short. You have to pump some current through the board to find the low voltage point. an amp or so should be enough. frank
