[hpsdr] Atom PC

Neal, Dale

Thanks again for the advice/encouragement. I got the Atom 330 system put
together (it's not in a case yet - just strung together on the bench...)
After I got the OS installed and got it on the network, I've been running it
as a headless PC using VNC from my old shack PC to run it. I'm listening to
W1AW code practice running VNC and PowerSDR with HPSDR. The performance
monitor has been sitting between 18%-20% (48K / 2048 buffer). Great little
inexpensive computer.

As soon as I get a PCI Firewire card installed, I'll give the SDR1000
connection a try.

I just wanted to report the success and ease with which the whole thing came
together, and to say:

Thanks again!

Mark

Thanks - sounds a lot easier than the last time I did it (probably 10 years
ago...)

It could not be much simpler, since the motherboard comes with the
processor and the CPU fan installed. You will need a computer case, a
stick of 2gb ddr2 memory, a hard drive and a cd/dvd drive.

the positive experiences people have been reporting, I thought I might take
a shot at building one. But, being lazy, I didn't want to start from
scratch.
