[hpsdr] 2.6 experience

Phil,

FWIW, no problems loading 2.6. My card order is now
6:Merc
5:Ozy
4:Penny

And it seems to be working fine. I haven't tried any other board order since
upgrading, but this is a different order than I was using before the upgrade
to 2.6.

The version # shows 26 in the Firmware Versions table. Other than the
change in the Mercury status led's haven't seen anything unusual with
v1.10.4+ BaseSVN 2025 version of the KD5TFD PowerSDR dated 11Feb2009.

Is it still necessary to have only OZY and Mercury installed when we do the
Mercury firmware upgrades via the USB Blaster method?

Also, is there any reason that the JP7 jumper shouldn't just stay shorted
all the time?

Sorry if these have been covered in the reflector discussions - I've been
over in F land on business and wasn't able to keep up with the reflector
discussions.

Nice to see Alex getting ready to take off!! Thanks to TAPR for that
present!

Also, many thanks to the HPSDR developers for a superb job! Sure is a fun
little radio!

Mercury V2.6 is now available for Beta testing. Loading method is as before

and you can obtain from

< svn://206.216.146.154/svn/repos_sdr_hpsdr/trunk/USBBlaster-Binaries >

It looks like V2.6 has fixed the card position issue of Mercury on the Atlas

bus. It also fixes a small bug in the spectrum data that is sent to EP4.

There will also be an new version of PowerSDR and Ozy_Janus.rdf - Bill,
KD5TF, will announce this shortly.

As before, please test V2.6 and provide feedback to the reflector.
