Hi Chris
I needed one as I'm building Penelope from scratch. I was so happy
when it worked on Mercury as I couldn't justify paying $300 for the
one from Altera. The only 'very' minor issue with this unit was that
the ribbon cable didn't have a red stripe on the pin 1 line. I just
oriented the cable like the picture in the ebay ad (which does have a
red mark), and it worked. I then used a red marker on my cable to
identify line 1 for future use.

Thanks for the steer, I've ordered one of these. They seem to be the
real thing at a fraction of the price.
