[hpsdr] Penelope - New Batch

Hi Kjell,

Consider to use the PA of the SDR1000 with its low power input of 1 W and
less. Its band controls are easily adapted to the DB-25 connector of
Penelope and the power indicator to the pertaining through connector on
Mercury. Flex-Radio seems to have a limited amount of SDR1000-PAs in stock
if you have no old SDR1000 to scrounge parts from. With some skills you
could even use the RFE board of the SDR1000 instead of waiting for the Alex
boards. However, its a sad thing to vandalize a SDR
1000, a radio that was supposed to get better and better.

***** High Performance Software Defined Radio Discussion List *****

Hello Gert.

I am interested in a Penelope bare board. What price?

What about the PA stage? Is it possible to buy a PCB or a kit of
components?
