[hpsdr] Need some guidance

Folks,

I have been on the HPSDR sideline for the last couple of years due to work
and travel.  Although I have purchased an HPSDR set ( Atlas, Janus, Ozy,
Penny, Mercury, Pandora) as they came available, I have not yet powered them
up yet.  To jumpstart my SDR education, I decided to pick up a used 
SDR-1000 as I read that I could control it with the Janus/Ozy combo.

My question is this - Can I control the SDR-1000 and still have
Mercury/Penny powered up on Atlas?  Is running two instances of PowerSDR
possible and have each radio controlled over the same USB interface?  At the
very least, I'm hoping to avoid de-cabling if I start with the SDR-1000 and
move to the Mercury/Penny as I learn.

The group's thoughts would be appreciated.
