Thanks forgot to add yes I did try to calibrate with the new
firmware/software but the distortion is throwing everything (distortion is
constant with or without antenna signal) off calibration works fine on the
older versions. I'm going to try a different computer next and see if maybe
there might be something going on there hardware/software wise.

Removed Penelope no difference. Loaded V2.6 for Mercury and received error
message that I need to be running V2.7. Loaded older version of PSDR with
the V2.6 in Mercury and audio is correct. Repeated the install of the new
firmware 4 times with PSDR in different locations and got the same results
of distorted audio each time. Tried with Penelope installed and switching
between Penelope and Mercury clocks no help. With version 2.7 and the latest
PSDR loaded and selecting the Preamp to on the relay on the Mercury
chatters.
