I did a quick check of the price of the parts when I would order the 
parts individually.

Price is about the same of the expected TAPR price.
Advantage is in the Mouser parts, as they ship for free.

If the parts which should come from Digikey where also supplied from 
Mouser, costs can be a bit lower.
(Digikey has minimum quantity and very high shipping costs).

Not worth the effort.

However I would really like to have the Alex and I am willing to pay a 
bit extra. A kit without Toroids would be fine.
