[hpsdr] HPSDR software direction

Hey Eric

You took the words right out of my mouth.

Until the advent of John Melton et al the software was exclusive in as much as it required a PC running M$ Windows. I had to build a system and load my least favourite OS on to it to run PowerSDR. But at least I didn't have to contribute to the bloat fund as I had a kosher but gratis copy of XP lying around.

I use Mac & Linux (since kernel 0.99 PL12 circa 1993) for everything other than PowerSDR and, as a semi-retired programmer specialising in real-time systems, I'd be very willing to contribute some of my time to converting from C# or rewriting in C/C++ (I don't speak Java). My GUI of choice is QT4 but if the trend is to some other GUI I'd be willing to try something else.

Cheers

Wouldn't it be cool to compile HPSDR software to run on a hacked dockstar or cheap PVR?
