There is a lot of interest in SDR amongst the membership of QRP ARCI
(QRP Amateur Radio Club International).
Last year Tony Parks KB9YIG was inducted to the QRP Hall Of Fame.
Previousy we had Phil Harman VK6APH and Lyle Johnson KK7P present at
our annual 'Four Days In May' convention at Dayton).

The Winter 2010 issue of QRP Quarterly (journal of QRP ARCI) is published today.

A feature article is a design for a self-contained SDR transceiver by
Ward Harriman AE6TY.

As a relatively new radio ham with little RF design experience, Ward
picked a project that would present challenges and enable him to learn
new skills. The text is very well written and describes the design
process and motivation behind the project. For those of us using
Softrocks, FlexRadios or the HPSDR; the series (this is part 1 of 3)
is an entertaining and educational gem.

Details of QRP Quarterly are on the QRP ARCI home page - www.qrparci.org
A one year subscription is $20 (in USA, $23 elsewhere) and starts with
the Spring 2010 magazine. The Winter 2010 QRP Quarterly is available
as a back issue for $5.
