Sorry, meant 'dan', w4xwe, not 'dave'. No offense! Just a bad day at the
keyboard.

John,

Thanks for pointing that out! Either I'm blind (possible!) or I overlooked
that earlier when looking for such. I may also have depended too much on
the openhpsdr WIKI, where I think this document should also be found.

I do hope you and the mrs had a good vacation, preparing for the onslaught
of Alex shipping!

And special thanks to the team in Arizona who got this all manufactured and
did the testing, and John Melton for the test software that Scotty and Dave
used. And for the entire design and beta team. And for the
infinitely-patient hams around the world who have waited for alex with bated
breath and not too much complaining.

This manual also seems to answer several other points, like how do volts
convert to watts: the answer being that 3.0 volts corresponds to 100 watts,
and that the range of the ADC is 0 to 3.3v. I've been able to incorporate
that information into the KISS Unified version that is in progress. No
displays of the power exist yet, but I'll be working on that! Now that I
have Alex, and know how to hook it up, hopefully, I'll make good progress
before Phil gets back and checks out my work.

The manual also explains how the cable in question goes: in effect, the
green wire goes to the indicated pin 1 of P4. It looks like the easy thing
to do is going to be to bend the molex connector on Mercury so that it
stands out from the board, keeping the jumper cable entirely within the
enclosure. I may have the proper Molex 4 pin connector as a straight (not
90 degree bend) connector, so maybe replacing it will be easier.

George K9TRV
