[hpsdr] Penny PTT unkeying spike - T/R sequencing?

Howdy To All,

The Adelaide Hills Radio Club did offer some Codan amps for sale at a nominal
price to club members a while ago.
I don't know if any are left but some members are using them with their HPSDR
with success.
They are easy to link up and have band switching and other necessary stuff like
PTT easily adapted.
Re the Codan specs please refer to the TSM for the 8528/9360 models which
are typical of the Codan range.
You should find the information required in the PA section

I tried a few methods of power reduction from Penelope to my amplifier.
My final solution was to use a 15db pad (at the output socket of Penelope) which
gives good results.

Cheers to all
Dean  VK5LB.

Hi Tom,

Looks like you are making good progress.

Can you please confirm that the spike,

1. Only appears when using AM or FM
2. Appears at the output of Penelope and not just on the bandscope screen.

Re the "Codan Flying Doctor Radio?". I gave an HPSDR presentation last
year to the Adelaide Hills Amateur Radio Society. A number of their
members were using this PA. I suggest you contact them via their web page
