If at some time you happen to observe peculiar behavior of a front
panel control or observe unusual behavior of my diversity program (or
with W5WCs version of PowerSDR) you may have a corrupted personal
settings file, database.xml.

To make it easy to recover from such a condition, should it occur and
assuming that you don't have a backup of your own personal settings
file, you may download a stable set of personal settings from the link
on my website page

http:\\k5so.com\HPSDR_downloads.html

This should allow you to bring up the PSDR program normally again in a
stable configuration. Of course, the personal settings you initially
had will be changed but the configuration should at least be a stable
point from which you can personalize the program again to your own
taste, curing (hopefully) the behavioral problem that was caused by
the corrupted file.

Naturally, the way to head off such a situation is to make a backup
copy of your existing database.xml file while everything is working as
you wish, for use in case your primary database.xml file becomes
corrupted somehow. Be aware that the database.xml file gets
overwritten every time you exit PSDR so there is ample opportunity for
such a corruption to occur. Usually it doesn't happen, of course, but
it can for any of a variety of reasons. Creating a backup personal
settings file ahead of time for use in such a situation is a good idea.
