Dear Vern,

You seem to have taken the proper steps to stem the tide of suspect
advertising being posted to this list.  The other message was yesterday
(Wednesday).  I've seen two total.

Hopefully, changing the password will do the trick.  Otherwise, you'll have
to cancel that account as permanently compromised (they've got some way to
know your password that you haven't discovered yet).

I do hope this works out well in the short and long run!  I'm satisfied if
the messages have been stopped for good!
