Hi Tim,
I'm not following you here, could you elaborate or point me to some sources
explaining what you mean by using a Softrock IF? I'm not really interested
in a commercial solution.

He needs a softrock IF to make it work, which intrduces more opportunities
for gremlins.
A commercial pan adaptor would be correct solution for his app.
