[hpsdr] HPSDRProgrammer question

Greetings,

Forgive me for the newbie question, but when using HPSDRProgrammer and 
Metis to program other HPSDR boards, in the 'JTAG Programmer' tab there 
are two fields:

     JTAG Programmer File:

     Flash Program File:

The program automatically selects the default JTAG program file.

My question is: What is the purpose of the default JTAG program file and 
under what circumstances would one want to use something other than the 
default?
