Chris,
I reported the problem with the 8-way connector forcing Mercury and
Penelope/PennyLane apart several weeks ago.  I'm thinking of trimming the
back of the connector body to get additional clearance.  I agree it IS a
problem.  It DOES force the wires to bend too sharply to my mind as well.

All in all, I think that a shallower connector is the answer.

I also chose to bend the 4 pin molex connector on Mercury so that I could
route that short cable entirely inside the Pandora housing.
