For multiple-Mercury board users, Mercury v7.1 firmware is available for download from

http://www.k5so.com/HPSDR_downloads.html

This firmware version corrects a problem in Mercury v7.0 in which the inter-board phase relationships changed when the operating frequency was changed. It is strongly recommended that users of the K5SO diversity, beam steering, and direction finding programs should update to Mecury v7.1.

Mercury v7.1 is one component of a compatible, special-purpose (namely, multiple-Mercury) firmware set that includes

Mecury v7.1
Metis v1.7 (suggested firmware number)
Ozy v2.2 (suggested firmware number)
Penelope v1.7 (suggested firmware number)

in accordance with the proposed USB protocol document v1.35 (suggested version number). All of the files and documents are available from the above-mentioned website.

Mercury v7.1 is included in the download folder Firmware_Update_Package.zip (3FEB2012) and in the USBBlaster-Binaries.zip folder (3FEB2012) on the website.

The firmware set is compatible with most of the existing PC programs for HPSDR, with the caveat that only a single receiver is implemented in each Mercury FPGA. Multiple Rx operations are performed using multiple Mercury boards.
