Of course, Visual Studio 2008 C# Express Edition does just fine...

Everyone should stay away from VS 2012, until they fix it to add non-Metro
apps.  And yet it may be quite a while before we support any development on
VS2012.  VS2010 introduces some significant changes to the .Net Framework.
Some people have been able to compile using it, some not.

So Stick with VS2008, C# Express Edition.  There is NO NEED for an SDK to
use KISS.
