This is great news Phil ... I hope the Mercury/Penny option is also do-able
as I have already committed to go down that track.

Subject: [hpsdr] VNA for Hermes

***** High Performance Software Defined Radio Discussion List *****

All,

I've been able to add the necessary FPGA code to make Hermes operate as a
vector network analyser (VNA).

We should be able to toggle between transceiver and VNA mode by simply
sending a command over the Ethernet link.

I've made a very quick and dirty change to KISS Konsole to display the phase
returned from the VNA code and it looks very stable and totally repeatable.

Does anyone have a burning desire to tackle writing suitable PC code, or
incorporating existing code into one of the current PC programs?

I will see if we can also use Mercury + Penny as a VNA.
