Rob,

Be careful!  A lot of work and testing went into the oscillator 
selection to get an oscillator with very low phase noise.  Lots of 
canned oscillators are pretty bad in this regard, and will show up in Tx 
and Rx performance.

If memory serves me (and it doesn't always serve me well), Valpey-Fisher 
is a good source of low-noise, albeit pricey, oscillators.
