Anyway we should choose hardware for option 3. There are so much around. My main thought, if there will be enough buyers, we can get nice price for it. I have a plan to build self contained Hermes transceiver with 10.1'' Touchscreen LCD. As an option I looked on this for PC board: http://www.hardkernel.com/renewal_2011/products/prdt_info.php?g_code=G133999328931  There are quite active comunity as well. But there, I am limited only with Linux and Android. There are no way to run Win on it, too much

Hi Aivars,
Presumably you mean the ODROID-X - excellent platform.

I am using one with my HiQSDR running ghpsdr3-alex's hiqsdr-server,
dspserver and QtRadio.
It's up on the internet almost 24x7 and can be accessed using glSDR for
Android downloadable from Google Play.

The quad core running at 1.6GHz makes it a very powerful platform such
that Linux kernel and other large software builds on it is easy and
quick compared to cross-compiling which can get messy.
A small exhaust fan needs to be placed above the CPU module to stop it
overheating and shutting down on large jobs.

I use a Gigabit USB Ethernet to a hub for it to connect to the separate
LAN the HiQSDR is on.
