[hpsdr] TAPR Hermes Arrived Today

Hi Larry,

There is no confusion over using the Hermes board as a receiver. :>)  Plug in an RJ45 connector from a Cat 5 cable that has the other end connected to a router on your LAN.  Hook up an antenna to the RX SMA connector.  Plug an 1/8 inch audio plug from a speaker into the appropriate connector on Hermes.  If you are super paranoid attach a dummy load or 50 Ohm termination to the TX SMA connector.  Apply power to the board.  Start up a correctly configured copy of W5WC's HPSDR version of PowerSDR.  Bingo, you have an exceptionally nice direct digital conversion receiver.

Got my board in Georgia today. Plan to wait until my ANAN-10 arrives though before I power it up as there seems to be a lot of confusion over what needs to be done to the board to make it operational stand alone.
