[hpsdr] parallela anyone?

I'm not so sure about the development tools. I'm a newbie FPGA user, but
I've been using the free version of the Xilinx ISE Webpack for a few years
now. They have a bunch of basic IP cores available within the free Webpack
as well, but they also have IPs that cost. I've used their DDS, FIFO, and a
few others so far. I'm sure it would not take much to implement the various
Verilog code from the openHPSDR (or N2ADR, or...) on a Xilinx FPGA. I keep
meaning to do that, but life gets in the way.
I've only played with the Spartan 3E and 3A FPGAs so far, I'm waiting for
the Parallella board to mess with the new Zynq device. I thought about
buying one of the new Zed boards, but decided to wait for the Parallella.
At this point, I am more familiar with the Xilinx Webpack than the Altera
IDE, but can stumble my way through either, groping blindly along...

This project looks rather interesting because it appears as though they are
going to have an OpenCL implementation to run on their little
mini-processors. That could have some good synergy with some of the work
that Hermann is doing with CUDA and some of my long-planned but
long-neglected work in getting OpenCL to run on the Mac.
The only downside seems that they use Xylinx FPGAs, that, if I recall
correctly, have some issues with having free or cheap development tools.
You guys will have to let the group know how they look to you when you
receive one.
