   1. No one ever bothers to change the subject line and every reply just
   says, "Digest". You have no idea what the reply pertains to.
   2. Hardly anyone bothers to trim off all the extraneous messages so you
   can't even begin to follow the thread of what the poster is replying to.
   You just get a giant jumble-gram of a reply.

It is quite easy to have your mail user agent filter your messages so that
those from the HPSDR list go into their own mailbox thus making a digest
unnecessary. You can reply to an individual message without having all the
other unrelated messages pulled into your reply. You can also look at just
the messages you are interested in without having to read the rest.

For example, I don't have an HPSDR so the postings for the Munin board
don't apply to me. I can easily skip them and go to the messages that are
pertinent. You can't do that with a digest.

So, I would hope that people who would like the digest form will take a bit
of time to learn how to use their MUAs effectively to accomplish more than
the digest mode would.
